If you’re a reverse mortgage professional, you are probably interested in the HECM MIC reports published each month by HUD. You may also be aware of a popular tool we provide on this site: the HECM Loan Data search tool, an interactive database query tool that lets users query a database containing data from HUD’s monthly HECM MIC reports dating back to September 2001. In addition to users’ custom queries, we generate standardized reports such as the Top HECM lenders and Top HECM markets for the current month and current year.
Another tool on this website that we’d like to see become more popular is the new RMI Forum. We’re hoping to create a discussion community that brings together homeowners and reverse mortgage professionals for the mutual benefit of both. But we recognize that getting a forum community going isn’t easy. Until a discussion board appears active and alive, many people just won’t bother.
Special Offer - Free HECM Activity Report Data
So here’s the offer. In exchange for registering and actively participating on RMI Forums, we will send you an Excel spreadsheet file containing HECM loan activity data for the period from January 1, 2006 through September 30, 2007. This information is the same we use in the HECM Loan Data tool - except it will be live data that you can sort and analyze anyway you wish. Analyze your company, your competitors, or search for under served HECM markets. We know the information has value - we’ve seen at least one company selling similar data for as much as $150 per month!
If interested, here’s what you need to do: 1.) register for the forum, 2.) actively participate by posting five meaningful, quality forum comments (ask/answer a question, introduce a new topic, announce a seminar you are holding, post a job opening, etc.) before October 1st, 3.) after you’ve made your five posts, send me a PM (private message) through the forum with the email address you wish to have the report file sent to. The report should be available and emailed to you within 1-2 days after HUD releases the September HECM MIC report.
